Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intralot (AT:INLr), which rose 10.10% or 0.059 points to trade at 0.643 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 7.96% or 0.320 points to end at 4.340 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 6.19% or 0.0385 points to 0.6600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Karatzi (AT:KRTr), which lost 2.92% or 0.200 points to trade at 6.650 in late trade. ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) declined 2.83% or 0.70 points to end at 24.00 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) shed 2.27% or 0.050 points to 2.150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 60 to 40 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.17% or 2.00 to $1203.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.11% or 0.76 to hit $69.44 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.92% or 0.72 to trade at $78.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1690, while EUR/GBP rose 0.12% to 0.8891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 94.09.
