Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Retail, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.57% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 3.65% or 0.025 points to trade at 0.709 at the close. Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) added 3.50% or 0.64 points to end at 18.92 and Hellenic Exchanges Athens Stock Exchange SA (AT:EXCr) was up 3.01% or 0.15 points to 5.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which lost 6.96% or 0.4000 points to trade at 5.3500 in late trade. Hygeia (AT:HYGr) declined 4.39% or 0.029 points to end at 0.631 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) shed 2.72% or 0.001 points to 0.025.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 61 to 47 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.03% or 0.40 to $1269.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $58.09 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $64.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1868, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8885.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 92.93.
