Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Household and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.49% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iaso (AT:IASr), which rose 7.31% or 0.095 points to trade at 1.395 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 6.39% or 0.053 points to end at 0.883 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 3.71% or 0.570 points to 15.950 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which lost 8.20% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.560 in late trade. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 5.26% or 0.002 points to end at 0.036 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) shed 4.07% or 0.120 points to 2.830.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 70 to 45 and 8 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.02% or 0.30 to $1334.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.50% or 0.32 to hit $63.98 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.12% or 0.79 to trade at $69.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.2233, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8882.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 90.38.
