Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which rose 4.05% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.540 at the close. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) added 3.53% or 0.019 points to end at 0.557 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 2.82% or 0.080 points to 2.920 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr), which lost 2.48% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.630 in late trade. Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) declined 2.47% or 0.22 points to end at 8.70 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 2.30% or 0.0040 points to 0.1700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 51 to 49 and 23 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.11% or 1.45 to $1271.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.15% or 1.13 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.64% or 0.97 to trade at $60.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.1582, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 94.94.
