Google (NASDAQ:GOOGL)'s AI Bard has rolled out its “most capable AI model yet”, featuring seamless integration with its native apps and services.
This development aims to offer users customised and efficient solutions by linking Bard with commonly used Google tools like Gmail, Drive and Google Maps.
Bard's updated offering includes a new feature, Bard Extensions in English, enabling the AI to extract real-time data from its tools to augment user experience.
The upgrade also features an improved ‘Google it’ button that allows users to double-check the information provided by Bard.
By clicking on this, Bard will assess whether the web supports or contradicts the generated answer, offering an additional layer of trust and verification.
Furthermore, the AI has expanded its English language features to more than 40 other languages, thereby widening its reach and application.

Privacy concerns
While improving its features, Google has also prioritised Bard’s privacy features.
The content from Gmail, Docs and Drive remains strictly confidential, with no exposure to human reviewers or utilisation for advertising.
Asserting this, Bard’s product management director Yury Pinsky said: We're committed to protecting your personal information.
“If you choose to use the Workspace extensions, your content from Gmail, Docs and Drive is not seen by human reviewers, used by Bard to show you ads or used to train the Bard model.
“And of course, you’re always in control of your privacy settings when deciding how you want to use these extensions, and you can turn them off at any time.”
Technology upgrade
The new upgrades are powered by Bard's PaLM 2 model, utilising cutting-edge reinforcement learning techniques to offer high-quality, accurate responses.
With these enhancements, Bard is positioning itself as an increasingly versatile tool for both individual creativity and broader applications.
