Forrestania Resources Ltd (ASX:FRS) has reached a “significant milestone” in advancing the Koolyanobbing Iron Project in Western Australia having commenced an Aboriginal Heritage Survey across the project tenements.
This heritage survey, conducted in collaboration with the Marlinyu Ghoorlie people who hold Native Title claim over the tenement area, is an important step towards an initial drilling program at Koolyanobbing.
The survey will cover 24 drill pads across the priority target areas and is expected to be completed over a three-day period.
Once the survey has been completed, Forrestania expects to receive preliminary advice within seven days.
A comprehensive heritage report will then be prepared and provided to the company within 30 days. This timely delivery will allow Forrestania to swiftly move forward with the planned drill program.
Once the final report is received, Forrstania will commence its initial drilling program at the Koolyanobbing Project, comprising 10-12 reverse circulation (RC) drill holes of approximately 90-100 metres each.
This drilling program is a key component to the exploration strategy and is anticipated to unlock significant value for our shareholders by advancing our understanding of the iron mineralisation potential at Koolyanobbing.

Forrestania recently entered into an option agreement to acquire Koolyanobbing, a prospective iron ore asset adjacent to Mineral Resources’ Koolyanobbing iron ore operations.
Under the option agreement, Forrestania can acquire 100% of the issued shares in Netley Minerals, the project exploration licence and rights holder.
Forrestania and Netley Minerals are committed to ensuring the protection of Aboriginal cultural heritage and have leveraged the existing heritage agreement between Netley Minerals and the Marlinyu Ghoorlie group to facilitate this process.
