Ford Motor (NYSE:F) announced Tuesday that their popular F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck is coming to Switzerland in limited numbers this year.
Following its introduction to the United States during the 2022 model year, the Ford F-150 Lightning has significantly broadened its global presence. Numerous countries are scheduled to welcome the electric pickup in the coming years.
Although specific information about the upcoming release is somewhat restricted, the Ford F-150 Lightning is slated for a limited release in Switzerland, marking its second entry into the European market after Norway.
The F-150 Lightning is set to debut in Switzerland by the end of November, with a price tag starting at 127,000 Swiss francs, equivalent to $139,735 USD.
Given the price point, Swiss customers will have the option to buy a well-equipped model of the F-150 Lightning, although it remains uncertain whether it will be a distinct specialized edition.
However, in Norway, customers are restricted to a single option—the Ford F-150 Lightning Lariat Launch Edition—finished in the exclusive Antimatter Blue color and obtainable in extremely restricted quantities, with deliveries expected to begin in 2024.
Shares of F are up 2.04% in afternoon trading on Tuesday.
