Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 5.23% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV), which fell 1.48% or 0.51 points to trade at 33.95 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) fell 3.18% or 1.12 points to end at 34.12 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HEL:WRT1V) was down 3.60% or 1.35 points to 36.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 8.29% or 0.3020 points to trade at 3.3400 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) declined 7.35% or 0.405 points to end at 5.105 and YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) was down 7.30% or 0.37 points to 4.69.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 177 to 6 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 52-week lows; down 8.29% or 0.3020 to 3.3400. Shares in Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOKIA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.35% or 0.405 to 5.105.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 3.71% or 1.69 to $43.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.44% or 1.39 to hit $39.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1158.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.64% to 1.1570, while EUR/GBP rose 1.28% to 0.7349.
The US Dollar Index was down 1.35% at 93.56.
