Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 1.42% or 0.55 points to trade at 39.28 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 0.35% or 0.05 points to end at 14.43 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.26% or 0.12 points to 47.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 4.68% or 0.37 points to trade at 7.53 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.72% or 1.19 points to end at 30.81 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 2.86% or 0.175 points to 5.945.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 57 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.30% or 1.08 to $45.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.61% or 1.16 to hit $43.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 0.96 to trade at $1245.74 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1124, while EUR/GBP rose 0.72% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.47.
