Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.19% or 0.42 points to trade at 19.60 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 1.31% or 0.60 points to end at 46.45 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) was up 1.11% or 0.2000 points to 18.2900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 5.49% or 0.2830 points to trade at 4.8710 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 3.31% or 1.03 points to end at 30.07 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 2.94% or 0.92 points to 30.42.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 48 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.13% or 0.11 to $84.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.42% or 0.31 to hit $74.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1204.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1511, while EUR/GBP fell 0.59% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 95.39.
