Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.61% or 0.11 points to trade at 18.07 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 0.48% or 0.17 points to end at 35.29 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.42% or 0.016 points to 3.810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.69% or 0.1800 points to trade at 6.5200 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 2.21% or 0.56 points to end at 24.80 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.71% or 0.140 points to 8.064.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 105 to 36 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.61% or 1.05 to $66.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.06% or 1.27 to hit $62.95 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1333.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.47% to 1.2341, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8832.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.44% at 89.63.
