Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.59% or 0.43 points to trade at 17.01 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.89% or 0.57 points to end at 30.75 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 0.75% or 0.19 points to 25.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 4.79% or 2.90 points to trade at 57.60 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 2.65% or 1.22 points to end at 44.88 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.64% or 0.2450 points to 9.0500.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 56 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.22% or 0.13 to $58.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.57% or 0.30 to hit $52.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.07 to trade at $1280.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.1810, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.53.
