Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.51%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.44% or 0.78 points to trade at 55.10 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.24% or 0.41 points to end at 33.50 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.16% or 0.120 points to 10.460 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 2.44% or 0.2000 points to trade at 7.9800 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.43% or 0.182 points to end at 7.302 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 2.15% or 0.71 points to 32.36.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 98 to 48 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $68.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.44% or 0.28 to hit $63.24 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.28% or 3.70 to trade at $1317.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1959, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.8849.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 92.02.
