Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 2.16% or 0.60 points to trade at 28.38 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.79% or 0.56 points to end at 31.77 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.11% or 0.27 points to 24.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 2.70% or 0.100 points to trade at 3.609 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 2.24% or 0.97 points to end at 42.34 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 2.20% or 0.125 points to 5.545.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 90 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.84% or 0.51 to $59.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.56% or 0.29 to hit $51.30 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.35 to trade at $1290.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1477, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 95.132.
