Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 0.90% or 0.45 points to trade at 50.70 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 0.88% or 0.23 points to end at 26.43 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.73% or 0.080 points to 11.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.23% or 0.2950 points to trade at 8.8350 in late trade. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 1.99% or 0.46 points to end at 22.65 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 1.32% or 0.085 points to 6.345.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 66 to 60 and 26 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.18% or 0.64 to $54.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.62% or 0.78 to hit $49.01 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 6.01 to trade at $1326.69 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1883, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8999.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 92.46.
