Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which rose 1.58% or 0.2800 points to trade at 17.9700 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.52% or 0.085 points to end at 5.670 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.15% or 0.042 points to 3.709 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 7.42% or 2.50 points to trade at 31.21 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 2.65% or 0.75 points to end at 27.55 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 1.42% or 0.40 points to 27.78.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 1.73% or 1.07 to $60.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.69% or 0.89 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.27% or 3.45 to trade at $1290.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1482, while EUR/GBP fell 0.98% to 0.8929.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.143.
