Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 5.84% or 1.01 points to trade at 18.29 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.47% or 1.36 points to end at 56.46 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.76% or 0.080 points to 10.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.13% or 0.2500 points to trade at 7.7300 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.69% or 1.37 points to end at 49.58 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 1.65% or 0.77 points to 45.79.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 70 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.87% or 0.60 to $69.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.49% or 0.95 to hit $64.52 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 3.10 to trade at $1322.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.2038, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 91.64.
