Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 2.72% or 1.01 points to trade at 38.11 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.86% or 0.32 points to end at 17.50 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.77% or 0.62 points to 35.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 0.35% or 0.0250 points to trade at 7.1950 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 0.35% or 0.12 points to end at 34.31 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.30% or 0.14 points to 45.77.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 77 to 53 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.64% or 0.30 to $47.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.66% or 0.29 to hit $44.52 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 1.98 to trade at $1211.68 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1398, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.83.
