Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 2.85% or 1.25 points to trade at 45.10 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.75% or 0.2300 points to end at 8.5950 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.84% or 0.200 points to 11.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 0.60% or 0.13 points to trade at 21.56 in late trade. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.07% or 0.03 points to end at 44.13 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) gained 0.23% or 0.09 points to 39.28.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.74% or 0.38 to $51.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $46.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.44 to trade at $1315.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.39% to 1.1925, while EUR/GBP fell 0.52% to 0.9217.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 92.61.
