Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 3.02% or 0.295 points to trade at 10.050 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.02% or 0.2150 points to end at 7.3350 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.89% or 0.190 points to 6.775 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 0.81% or 0.30 points to trade at 36.62 in late trade. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) declined 0.69% or 0.026 points to end at 3.750 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.38% or 0.20 points to 52.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 67 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.70% or 1.06 to $63.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.15% or 0.65 to hit $57.34 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1249.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1763, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8782.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 93.90.
