Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.50%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 3.06% or 0.68 points to trade at 22.89 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 2.89% or 0.46 points to end at 16.39 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 2.63% or 0.86 points to 33.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 0.93% or 0.34 points to trade at 36.36 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.89% or 0.45 points to end at 50.15 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 0.67% or 0.05 points to 7.36.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 51 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.49% or 0.26 to $52.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.30% or 0.14 to hit $47.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.71 to trade at $1328.91 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1877, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.9160.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.69.
