Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.77% or 0.83 points to trade at 30.81 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.78% or 0.52 points to end at 29.72 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.59% or 0.85 points to 54.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 1.69% or 0.10 points to trade at 6.10 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 1.61% or 0.72 points to end at 44.01 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 1.24% or 0.46 points to 36.59.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 59 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 1.58% or 1.02 to $63.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.33% or 0.77 to hit $57.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.60 to trade at $1243.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1735, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8807.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.09.
