Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 5.79% or 1.67 points to trade at 30.52 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.57% or 1.30 points to end at 51.80 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 2.32% or 0.092 points to 4.058 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.97% or 0.1700 points to trade at 8.4750 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 0.92% or 0.07 points to end at 6.97 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) shed 0.77% or 0.34 points to 43.56.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 40 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.88% or 0.49 to $54.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.93% or 0.47 to hit $49.88 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.23 to trade at $1311.03 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1966, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8878.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 91.80.
