Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.55% or 1.82 points to trade at 73.08 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.82% or 0.34 points to end at 19.01 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.56% or 0.086 points to 5.590 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which lost 2.90% or 0.265 points to trade at 8.887 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 1.76% or 0.3300 points to end at 18.4200 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) shed 1.61% or 0.70 points to 42.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 81 to 64 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.60% or 0.51 to $85.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.32% or 0.24 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1203.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1527, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8874.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 95.32.
