Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.05% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 0.80% or 0.040 points to trade at 5.060 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.71% or 0.30 points to end at 42.50 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.70% or 0.070 points to 10.140 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which lost 0.70% or 0.30 points to trade at 42.86 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.58% or 0.20 points to end at 34.44 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) shed 0.56% or 0.060 points to 10.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 66 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.29% or 0.72 to $56.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.41% or 0.75 to hit $53.77 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.15 to trade at $1137.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.0457, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8532.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 103.02.
