Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which rose 0.53% or 2.8 points to trade at 534.0 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) fell 0.03% or 0.1 points to end at 358.2 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was down 0.10% or 0.2 points to 199.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which lost 4.18% or 17.7 points to trade at 406.0 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 3.97% or 3.02 points to end at 72.96 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) shed 2.81% or 6.9 points to 238.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 34 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.38% or 0.25 to $65.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.37% or 0.26 to hit $70.79 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 4.00 to trade at $1360.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.58% to 5.9656, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4447.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 88.60.
