Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.83% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 4.46% or 17.9 points to trade at 419.0 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) added 4.24% or 19.0 points to end at 467.0 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was up 2.30% or 15.4 points to 683.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which lost 0.63% or 1.1 points to trade at 180.8 in late trade. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) declined 0.32% or 1.1 points to end at 348.1 and Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) shed 0.24% or 0.8 points to 333.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 59 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $68.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.36% or 0.26 to hit $72.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.53% to 6.3669, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4511.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 94.41.
