Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.25% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 1.27% or 0.96 points to trade at 76.84 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 1.13% or 4.3 points to end at 385.5 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was up 1.13% or 4.0 points to 357.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which lost 1.51% or 175 points to trade at 11430 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 1.18% or 130 points to end at 10930 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) shed 1.05% or 4.6 points to 434.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 53 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.67% or 1.03 to $62.76 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.22% or 0.83 to hit $68.61 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.64% or 8.50 to trade at $1311.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.40% to 6.2470, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4468.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 92.32.
