Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 1.51%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Isramco L (TA:ISRAp), which rose 5.56% or 3.5 points to trade at 66.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 4.98% or 10.8 points to end at 227.8 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 4.90% or 3570 points to 76500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 1.05% or 40 points to trade at 3760 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) added 0.01% or 10 points to end at 73010 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 0.31% or 180 points to 57670.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 209 to 129 and 116 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.24% or 0.45 to $36.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.86% or 0.33 to hit $38.49 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.10 to trade at $1059.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.21% to 3.8693, while EUR/ILS fell 0.47% to 4.2256.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.54% at 98.27.
