Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Investment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.48% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 8.05% or 420.0 points to trade at 5640.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 6.72% or 450.0 points to end at 7150.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 4.73% or 70.0 points to 1550.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which fell 6.42% or 120.0 points to trade at 1750.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) declined 2.87% or 720.0 points to end at 24400.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was down 2.63% or 620.0 points to 22920.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 14 to 14 and 1 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.18% or 1.40 to $120.08 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.27% or 9.00 to hit $3277.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 1.64% or 18.60 to trade at $1117.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 3.37% to 2799.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.26% to 742.65.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 97.27.
