Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG), which rose 0.80% or 160.0 points to trade at 20120.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 0.75% or 10.0 points to end at 1335.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 0.67% or 160.0 points to 24160.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.95% or 0.7 points to trade at 23.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.77% or 50.0 points to end at 2780.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 1.30% or 380.0 points to 28760.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.10% or 0.14 to $139.07 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.86% or 39.50 to hit $2083.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.65 to trade at $1251.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.90% to 2879.42, while BRL/COP fell 0.11% to 923.63.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 99.79.
