Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 1.54% or 150.0 points to trade at 9900.0 at the close. Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.35% or 160.0 points to end at 11980.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 0.73% or 30.0 points to 4130.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 2.88% or 35.0 points to trade at 1180.0 in late trade. Conconcret (CN:CIC) declined 1.83% or 20.0 points to end at 1070.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.47% or 55.0 points to 3685.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 4 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.10% or 1.63 to $149.15 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 2.66% or 58.50 to hit $2140.00 , while the February Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.30 to trade at $1189.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.40% to 2994.62, while BRL/COP rose 1.36% to 936.67.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 101.86.
