Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Financials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.06% or 65.0 points to trade at 3220.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.23% or 15.0 points to end at 1230.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.01% or 25.0 points to 2505.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 3.01% or 250.0 points to trade at 8050.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 2.47% or 240.0 points to end at 9460.0 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) shed 1.91% or 740.0 points to 38000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.13% or 0.16 to $121.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.43% or 11.00 to hit $2545.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1325.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.37% to 2843.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.46% to 871.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 89.75.
