Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Agriculture sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.31% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.29% or 60.0 points to trade at 2680.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.47% or 20.0 points to end at 1385.0 and Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) was up 1.42% or 960.0 points to 68420.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 4.27% or 45.0 points to trade at 1010.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 3.85% or 400.0 points to end at 10000.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 1.65% or 540.0 points to 32140.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 10 to 10 and 10 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.08% or 0.12 to $142.77 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.79% or 16.00 to hit $1998.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.49% or 18.84 to trade at $1281.44 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.49% to 3012.62, while BRL/COP fell 0.38% to 954.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 93.41.
