Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 7.30% or 115.0 points to trade at 1690.0 at the close. Celsia SA (CN:CEL) added 5.83% or 210.0 points to end at 3810.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) was up 3.21% or 360.0 points to 11580.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.12% or 0.2 points to trade at 17.7 in late trade. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) declined 0.55% or 10.0 points to end at 1820.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 0.47% or 180.0 points to 38300.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 6 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.47% or 0.60 to $126.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.62% or 18.50 to hit $2964.00 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.82% or 10.10 to trade at $1227.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.31% to 3019.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.59% to 835.41.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 94.82.
