Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 2.60% or 300.0 points to trade at 11860.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 2.34% or 30.0 points to end at 1310.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 2.27% or 90.0 points to 4060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.44% or 40.0 points to trade at 2735.0 in late trade. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.07% or 0.2 points to end at 18.5 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 0.75% or 200.0 points to 26620.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.54% or 0.88 to $162.98 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.12% or 3.00 to hit $2427.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.45 to trade at $1212.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.61% to 3162.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.40% to 943.55.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 101.07.
