Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 1.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which rose 3.55% or 1060.0 points to trade at 30880.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 3.07% or 980.0 points to end at 32880.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.97% or 25.0 points to 1295.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etb (CN:ETB), which lost 4.05% or 23.0 points to trade at 545.0 in late trade. Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) declined 0.76% or 15.0 points to end at 1965.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) 0.00% or 0.0 points to 25.3.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 4 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.98% or 1.30 to $130.95 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.70% or 13.00 to hit $1838.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.68 to trade at $1287.38 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.03% to 2968.48, while BRL/COP rose 0.74% to 943.42.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 93.40.
