Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.97%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 5.34% or 155.0 points to trade at 3055.0 at the close. Conconcret (CN:CIC) added 1.96% or 16.0 points to end at 834.0 and Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was up 1.95% or 480.0 points to 25060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 1.25% or 35.0 points to trade at 2775.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 0.42% or 40.0 points to end at 9400.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) shed 0.41% or 5.0 points to 1225.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 5 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 0.38% or 0.46 to $120.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 2.54% or 65.00 to hit $2496.50 , while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.20 to trade at $1299.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.54% to 2894.62, while BRL/COP fell 1.71% to 776.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.79.
