Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 6.47% or 110.0 points to trade at 1810.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.85% or 180.0 points to end at 9920.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.39% or 380.0 points to 27640.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which lost 4.01% or 380.0 points to trade at 9100.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 2.94% or 80.0 points to end at 2645.0 and Grupoaval (CN:GAA) shed 2.61% or 35.0 points to 1305.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 0.72% or 0.90 to $124.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.95% or 62.50 to hit $2181.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.41 to trade at $1277.19 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.13% to 3036.08, while BRL/COP fell 0.82% to 927.95.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.78.
