Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p), which rose 1.84% or 320.0 points to trade at 17720.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 0.91% or 70.0 points to end at 7760.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p) was up 0.85% or 10.0 points to 1185.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH), which lost 1.47% or 400.0 points to trade at 26800.0 in late trade. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (CN:SIS) declined 1.07% or 400.0 points to end at 36880.0 and Empresa de Energia de Bogota SA ESP (CN:EEB) shed 0.74% or 15.0 points to 2020.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 12 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.63% or 0.70 to $111.67 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.63% or 38.00 to hit $2293.50 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.52% or 6.40 to trade at $1224.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.90% to 2899.90, while BRL/COP rose 0.56% to 766.68.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.39.
