Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Agriculture & Food, Media & Publishing and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130), which rose 5.59% or 2.00 points to trade at 37.80 at the close. Taleem REIT Fund (SE:4333) added 3.13% or 0.40 points to end at 13.16 and Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050) was up 3.10% or 0.52 points to 17.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Savola Group (SE:2050), which lost 6.17% or 2.90 points to trade at 44.10 in late trade. Al Hammadi Co (SE:4007) declined 3.34% or 1.35 points to end at 39.10 and Almarai Company (SE:2280) shed 2.61% or 2.30 points to 85.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 74 and 20 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.02% or 0.48 to $46.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.67% or 0.33 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.73 to trade at $1218.47 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.19% to 4.2469, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 96.17.
