Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb), which rose 4.36% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.335 at the close. Meanwhile, Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) added 3.70% or 0.150 points to end at 4.200 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 3.45% or 0.009 points to 0.261 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 9.09% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.090 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 4.44% or 0.020 points to end at 0.430 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 3.61% or 0.030 points to 0.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 13 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $46.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.18% or 0.09 to hit $49.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1155.90 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2772, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6271.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 97.71.
