Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Software & Computers, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Elia (BRU:ELI), which rose 7.82% or 2.925 points to trade at 40.335 at the close. Meanwhile, Ackermans V.Haaren (BRU:ACKB) added 2.64% or 3.40 points to end at 132.20 and Etablissementen Fr Colruyt NV (BRU:COLR) was up 2.29% or 0.97 points to 43.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Engie SA (PARIS:ENGIE), which fell 1.39% or 0.23 points to trade at 15.98 at the close. Solvay SA (BRU:SOLB) declined 1.36% or 1.45 points to end at 104.90 and Cofinimmo-Sicafi (BRU:COFB) was down 1.13% or 1.07 points to 93.57.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 98 to 56 and 3 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.09% or 1.00 to $1133.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 4.98% or 2.25 to hit $47.47 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 4.47% or 2.23 to trade at $52.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.14% to 1.1203, while EUR/GBP rose 0.49% to 0.7296.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.07.
