Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Argen-X (BR:ARGX), which rose 4.58% or 4.30 points to trade at 98.10 at the close. Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI) added 1.20% or 0.80 points to end at 67.58 and Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX) was up 1.03% or 0.19 points to 18.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which lost 2.06% or 1.840 points to trade at 87.660 in late trade. Aperam SA (AS:APAM) declined 1.42% or 0.38 points to end at 26.47 and Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) shed 1.10% or 0.15 points to 13.94.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 57 to 54 and 16 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.29% or 3.85 to $1318.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.86% or 1.03 to hit $54.23 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.42 to trade at $62.33 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1435, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8758.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.550.
