Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 added 14.7 points or 0.2% to close at fresh 5-month highs of 7,259.5 during Friday’s trade, extending gains for the fourth consecutive session as the real estate and industrial sectors led the gains.
Among stocks, Mirvac Group (ASX:MGR) gained 1.9%, Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) added 1.1%, Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) gained 2% and Stockland Corporation Ltd (ASX:SGP) lifted 0.8%.
Reece Ltd (ASX:REH) gained 2.7%, Brambles Ltd (ASX:BXB)lifted 0.8% and Transurban Group (ASX:TCL) added 0.6%.
Meantime, materials led declines, down 1.1% as Rio Tinto Ltd (ASX:RIO) and BHP Group Ltd (ASX:BHP) fell 0.8% apiece while Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (ASX:FMG) dipped 1.2%.
On the bond markets, Australia 10-Year rates were at 3.582%
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 added 0.5% to 11,382.6.
