Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 added 50 points or 0.7% to 7,048.1 during Thursday’s trade, extending gains of 0.5% in the previous session amid a broad based-rally as market participants monitored earnings results from local companies.
Among stocks, Real estate companies led the gains, adding 2.4% as Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) added 4.1%, Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) lifted 6.5%, Mirvac Group (ASX:MGR) gained 1.4% and Stockland Corporation Ltd (ASX:SGP) added 2.2%.
Energy gained 1.6% collectively, with Woodside Energy Ltd (ASX:WDS) up 2%, Santos Ltd (ASX:STO) lifting 1.3% and Beach Energy Ltd (ASX:BPT) gaining 3.2% while Viva Energy Group Ltd (ASX:VEA) dipped 1.1%.
Meantime, Consumer Staples dipped 1.6% as Coles Group Ltd (ASX:COL) fell 1.1%, Graincorp Ltd (ASX:GNC) added 1.8% and Treasury Wine Estates Ltd (ASX:TWE) gained 0.8%. Woolworths Ltd (ASX:WOW) shed 3.2% after posting a 9.6% decrease in total group sales for 2022.
On the bond markets Australia 10-Year rates were at 3.694% while United States 10-Year yields were at 3.102%.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 fell 0.2% to 11,627.1.
