Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 added 6.3 points or 0.1% to 7,353.1 during Monday’s trade, recovering slightly from last week’s losses of 1.6% as market participants monitored mixed earnings results from local companies.
Among reporting companies, Bluescope Steel Ltd (ASX:BSL) shed 10% after declaring a net profit after tax of A$599 million, down 64% compared to the previous period, while EPS came in at $1.282 and revenues were reported at A$9.324 billion.
Meanwhile, financials gained 0.9% collectively as Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX:MQG) gained 0.9%, ANZ Group Holdings Ltd (ASX:ANZ) added 0.3%, Commonwealth Bank Of Australia (ASX:CBA) lifted 1.3% and Westpac Banking Corp (ASX:WBC) lifted 1%.
On the bond markets ,Australia 10-Year rates were at 3.817%.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 dipped 2.1% to 11,896.1.
