Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 added 47.7 points or 0.7% to 7,328.1 during Friday’s trade, lifting for the third session in a row and closing at 5-week highs as market participants rallied behind easing U.S. inflation data.
Among stocks, Energy led the gains ,adding 1.5% overall. Santos Ltd (ASX:STO) lifted 2.4%, Woodside Energy Ltd (ASX:WDS) added 1.2%, Beach Energy Ltd (ASX:BPT) gained 0.9%, Viva Energy Group Ltd (ASX:VEA) lifted 0.8% and South32 Ltd (ASX:S32) gained 0.8%.
Financials lifted 1.1% collectively as Macquarie Group Ltd (ASX:MQG) gained 0.7%, ANZ Group Holdings Ltd (ASX:ANZ) added 1%, Commonwealth Bank Of Australia (ASX:CBA) lifted 1.3%, National Australia Bank Ltd (ASX:NAB) gained 1.6% and Westpac Banking Corp (ASX:WBC) lifted 1.1%.
On the bond markets, Australia 10-Year rates were at 3.602% and United States 10-Year yields were at 3.467%.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 added 0.8% to 11,754.4.
