Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 added 31.8 points or 0.5% to 7,064.3 during Monday’s session as risk-sensitive real estate and technology sectors led gains.
Among individual stocks, GPT Group (ASX:GPT) added 5.4% despite reporting a decline in half-year profits, while Bluescope Steel Ltd (ASX:BSL) climbed 3.9% after posting the highest underlying profits on record.
Carsales.Com Ltd (ASX:CAR) jumped 5.8% after reporting record full-year results and lifting its final dividend.
JB Hi-Fi Ltd (ASX:JBH) dipped 1% after posting a 7.7% in net profits for the 12 months through June.
Beach Energy Ltd (ASX:BPT) retreated 11.1% after reporting full-year results.
Information Technology lifted 1.3% overall as Block Inc (ASX:SQ2) added 1.3%, Appen Ltd (ASX:APX) gained 0.4%, Novonix Ltd (ASX:NVX) added 2% and Altium Ltd (ASX:ALU) lifted 1.8%.
Real estate added 2% collectively, as Mirvac Group (ASX:MGR) added 2.8%, Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) gained 4%, Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) added 2.3% and Stockland Corporation Ltd (ASX:SGP) lifted 1.1%.
On the bond markets, United States 10-Year rates were at 2.848% while Australia 10-Year yields were at 3.392%.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 added 0.5% to 11,789.
