Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 1.35% or 0.0130 points to trade at 0.9780 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.13% or 0.1900 points to end at 16.9900 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 0.80% or 0.0220 points to 2.7880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA), which lost 3.61% or 0.450 points to trade at 12.000 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 2.67% or 0.1860 points to end at 6.7740 and Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) shed 1.58% or 0.050 points to 3.120.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 14 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.22% or 0.61 to $50.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.52% or 0.73 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.67 to trade at $1248.43 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1631, while EUR/GBP fell 0.31% to 0.8913.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.03.
